Do you or someone you know believe that intergenerational trauma has negatively impacted you?
If so, you are not alone. I’m sure you have heard people talk about the “family curse” when discussing relationships, trauma, or abuse. As one from a multi-ethnic family, I have heard the same.
Intergenerational trauma is the idea that unresolved trauma from previous generations has, in some fashion, negatively impacted the younger generations. For example, a grandmother who never sought counseling for staying in a marriage where she routinely experienced domestic violence may negatively impact her children and her children’s view of healthy marriage. Her children may also struggle with domestic violence in relationships. No one in the family can identify why these things continue to happen throughout generations.
In this webinar, I will discuss intergenerational trauma, signs of traumatic bonding, and offer tips on how to embrace post-traumatic growth.
THREE TAKE-A-WAYS From “Intergenerational Trauma” Webinar
1. The audience will be able to define intergenerational trauma.
2. And they will learn about post traumatic growth.
