BPD & Bipolar Disorder Comorbidity

Is it possible to have a case of BPD and Bipolar Disorder comorbidity where the symptoms of both are present but the episodes only last minutes/hours like BPD instead of lasting weeks/months like Bipolar Disorder?

A. I’m not certain that I fully understand your question so I can only give you a general answer. It is possible to have symptoms of these two disorders simultaneously, but because there is symptom overlap it might be difficult to determine symptom origin. Symptom origin may not matter as much as treatment. Treatment is where your focus should be. If I haven’t answered your question, to your satisfaction, consider writing back and providing more details. I will try my best to help. Please take care.
