Accuracy of Quizzes or Online Assessments

I would like to know if I take the quizzes or online assessments, how accurate are the results comparing to clinical interviewing with a psychologist? I am doing research and collecting information with a non-profit organization on a comparison of these quizzes or tests to find out more if there are any proven results for online assessments that could benefit third world or under-developed countries. This way, people suffering from mental illness have a way to do self-assessment before seeking professional help.

If you could give me some guidelines or directions on the validation of online assessments such as universities projects or other non-profit organization researches that would be great.

Thank you very much for your time.

A. The answer to your question requires in-depth research. One of the best websites for research is Google Scholar. You will find many scholarly works and material from virtually all disciplines. It may serve as a good starting point for your research.

You can also try searching the Internet for researchers or nonprofit organizations who study online assessments. You might also find that material in your Google Scholar search.

Journal articles include contact information for the lead author. If you find a study of interest, you can email them and ask specific questions and they may be able to help. It’s been my experience that most the time they will respond to these kinds of inquiries. I hope this helps to get you started. Please take care.
